Updated Covid - 19 Protocol

We are now welcoming clients back into the clinic! Thank you for all your continued support and patience during these difficult and unprecedented times.

There are still some restrictions in place to keep everyone safe:

  • We please ask that you wear a mask upon entry in to the clinic.

  • We are having one person per patient in consultations.

  • Please keep as socially distanced as possible.

  • Please check in with the Check In CBR app upon arrival.

With ACT restrictions easing, please keep in mind that the safety of our clients and staff are of utmost priority, and we thank you for your continued contribution to maintaining this within our clinic.

We are looking so forward to seeing you and your beautiful pets soon!

Important: If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, have been to an exposure site, have come in to contact with a confirmed case of the virus, or are currently in a self isolation/quarantine, please contact our clinic to reschedule your appointment.

Covid-19 Clinic Protocol

27.08.21

With the recent reopening of our clinic, we have changed the way we operate in order to protect the health and safety of our staff and clientele, whilst strictly adhering to Government policy. Due to the current ACT lockdown, we have implemented a protocol that reduces contact between our staffing team and our clients in order to maintain social distancing, and decrease risk of transmission within the community.

  • Upon arrival to our clinic, please remain in your vehicle, or waiting outside, and contact reception to let us know that you have arrived.

  • A nurse will come out to collect your pet.

  • Your veterinarian will conduct the consultation over the phone after an initial assessment of your pet.

  • Once the consultation is concluded, you will be transferred through to reception to organise payment. We do encourage payment over the phone, or via our EFTPOS machine (which will be brought out to you by a nurse).

  • After any necessary medications are prepared, and payment has been made, a nurse will return your pet to you.

  • We please ask that you wear a face mask at all times, and practice social distancing from our staff as best you can.

Important: If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, have been to an exposure site, have come in to contact with a confirmed case of the virus, or are currently in a self isolation/quarantine, please contact our clinic to reschedule your appointment.

Latest update 24/8/21

We are happy to announce that we will reopen this coming Friday 27/8/21.  If you have an existing appointment with us, please wait for our call on Thursday as we reschedule the missed appointments from the last fortnight.

We will be following strict Covid-19 protocols and will give you all of the details when we call to schedule your appointment.

If you require any patient history or urgent scripts sent to other local vets during this time, please email parkwayvc@iinet.net.au or use the "Contact Us" button on this site.  We will be in touch.

Once again, thanks for your support and patience, it has been very difficult on all of us.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) health alert

With the unfolding pandemic of Coronavirus, Parkway Veterinary Centre have had to implement measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and you, our clients.  In such uncertain times we can find ourselves feeling anxious and unsure of what to do.  We will be keeping up to date with the recommendations as they come to hand. As it stands currently, our action plan will be in line with the Government’s recommendations.

What you can expect from us:

  • We will be following strict hygiene measures by regularly washing our hands thoroughly with soap and water or alcohol based hand washes.

  • We are regularly disinfecting all hospital surfaces.

  • Our staff may wear face masks and/or gloves in consultations or when taking payments.

  • We will distance ourselves from you by 1.5 metres.

  • We will be modifying our seating arrangement in our waiting room to allow for larger distances between clients.

Please do not be alarmed or offended by these actions.  Our main goal is to have the ability to continue to provide outstanding veterinary care to your pets.

What we ask of you:

In order for us to remain operational, none of our staff can be exposed to the Coronavirus. This would effectively close us down.

  • We ask that you please do not visit our clinic if you or anyone you have contact with is displaying any of the Coronavirus symptoms. As a reminder, this includes – fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath.

  • If you are in self isolation, please DO NOT visit our clinic during this time.

  • Also, this will extend to your recent travel activity.  If you have been overseas or know that you have had contact with an infected person, please call instead of coming in.

  • If you are unwell but your pet requires medical attention, please call us for help or organise a friend to bring your pet.

  • We are only allowing one person per pet to visit the clinic.  This means we cannot have children accompanying you

      to your appointment.

In the unfortunate event that we are forced to close, we will keep you up to date via our Facebook and Website.

Take care from the Parkway Team!
